"A primary focus of this research is directed towards understanding the role of glycoconjugates in normal biological function and disease, an area that has brought us international recognition."
  Dr. Jim Richards,
Research Director, Immunobiology Program

The Immunobiology Program carries out molecular-level research of strategic importance on infectious diseases and cancer. Genomics and proteomics research is playing a central role in Program activities and is leading to new targets for therapeutic intervention and vaccine design. The Immunobiology Program brings together a multidisciplinary team of about 70 scientists and technicians with expertise ranging from biophysics to models of disease pathogenesis. The program structure comprises six distinct groups: Immunomodulation, Infections and Immunity,Antibody Engineering, Molecular Pathogenesis.
