Termination of the fee waiver in response to the Earthquake disaster in South Asia

Effective May 1, 2006, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will no longer be accepting new applications from people affected by the earthquake of October 8, 2005, without the required application processing fees.

Applications received on or after May 1, 2006, must be accompanied by the appropriate application fee as indicated in the application kit. Please note that all applications received on or after May 1, 2006, without the appropriate fee will not be processed and will be returned to the applicant.
