2007-2008 FARM CREDIT CANADA STUDENT CONTEST
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES

THE FOLLOWING CONTEST IS ONLY OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF CANADA. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY.

PARTICIPANTS MUST BE EIGHTEEN (18) YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY. ENTRY IN THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONTEST RULES.

  1. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for this Contest, an individual must: (i) be a legal resident of Canada, (ii) be 18 years of age or older, and (iii) be registered in an approved Business Planning award at a recognized academic instition.

    Immediate family members of employees and persons domiciled with employees of AgExpert and Farm Credit Canada are not eligible to participate in the Contest. This Contest is void where prohibited by law.

  2. HOW TO ENTER:The Contest commences at 12:01 a.m. (EST) on Monday, September 10, 2007 and closes at 4:59 p.m. (EST) on Friday, February 15, 2008 (the "Entry Period"). There is one (1) way to enter the contest:

    1. Completion of the online entry form automatically enter the student into the Contest. To qualify for Prize draws, online entry form   must be completed no later than 4:59 p.m. (EST) on February 15, 2008 otherwise the entry will be void.

    2. Farm Credit Canada will not be responsible for lost, misdirected, falsified or delayed entries. Farm Credit Canada do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.

  3. PRIZES: There will be THIRTEEN (13)  prizes awarded.

    One (1) Grand Prize consisting of one HP DV2418 14.1" Intel Centrino Core Duo T2450 2.0GHz Laptop (retail value of $1,099.99) complete with AgExpert Analyst 2007 software (retail value at $399).

    Four (4) Prize Packages consisting of one Farm Credit Canada fleece vest and one Farm Credit Canada stainless steel mug (retail value $53).

    Four (4) Prize Packages consisting of one Farm Credit Canada backpack and one Farm Credit Canada stainless steel mug (retail value $48).

    Four (4) $50 Sears Gift Certificates (valued at $50).

    Certain restrictions may apply. Shipping and Delivery will be arranged with the winner. Prize fulfillment must occur within one year of the contest closing date. No extensions will be granted.

    Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash. Farm Credit Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any and all of the prizes for prizes of equal value should all or part of the prize become unavailable for any reason.

  4. WINNER SELECTION

    Grand Prize:

    One (1) random draw from all eligible entries received will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 4 p.m. (EST) in Regina, Saskatchewan. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received by February 15, 2008.

    THE SELECTED ENTRANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS OF THE DRAW DATE AND MUST RESPOND WITHIN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS OF NOTIFICATION. Upon notification, the selected Entrant must respond by telephone to the contact number provided in the notification and Farm Credit Canada must receive the selected Entrant's response within two (2) business days of such notification. If the selected Entrant does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected Entrant does not comply with the Contest Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another Entrant will be selected. If after three (3) such attempts Farm Credit Canada has not identified a winner, Farm Credit Canada reserves the right to award the prize to a charity of its choice. Farm Credit Canada is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected Entrant to receive notification or for Farm Credit Canada to receive selected Entrant's response.

    Prize Packages:

    Twelve (12) random draw for the prize packages from all eligible entries received will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 4 p.m. (EST) in Regina, Saskatchewan. Odds of winning are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received by February 15, 2008.

    THE SELECTED ENTRANTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS OF THE DRAW DATE AND MUST RESPOND WITHIN TWO (2) BUSINESS DAYS OF NOTIFICATION. Upon notification, the selected Entrant must respond by telephone to the contact number provided in the notification and Farm Credit Canada must receive the selected Entrant's response within two (2) business days of such notification. If the selected Entrant does not respond in accordance with the Contest Rules or the selected Entrant does not comply with the Contest Rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive a prize and another Entrant will be selected. If after three (3) such attempts Farm Credit Canada has not identified a winner, Farm Credit Canada reserves the right to award the prize to a charity of its choice. Farm Credit Canada is not responsible for the failure for any reason whatsoever of selected Entrant to receive notification or for Farm Credit Canada to receive selected Entrant's response.

    Before being declared a winner, each selected Entrant will be required to sign an agreement and release confirming compliance with the Contest Rules and acceptance of the prize as offered and (i) releasing Farm Credit Canada and its employees, directors and officers from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damages, cost or expense arising out of participation in this Contest or participating in any prize-related activity or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize, including without limitation costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light, or from any and all claims of third parties arising therefrom, (ii) granting Farm Credit Canada the unrestricted rights, in its discretion, to publish without any further compensation the name, picture, portrait, likeness, voice and ideas of that entrant for advertising and promotional purposes. The agreement and release must be returned within ten (10) business days of the notification date indicated on the documents or the selected entrant will be disqualified and the prize forfeited and (iii) granting Farm Credit Canada consent to confirm that the Entrant is registered in an approved Business Planning Award class at an approved academic institution.

  5. CONDUCT: By entering this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules. Entrants further agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Farm Credit Canada reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant it finds to be: (a) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, the Contest entry form, or any Farm Credit Canada Web site; (b) violating the Contest Rules; (c) violating the terms of service, conditions or use and/or general rules or guidelines of any Farm Credit Canada property or service, or (d) acting in an unsportsman-like or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, AGEXPERT AND FARM CREDIT CANADA RESERVE THE RIGHT TO IMMEDIATELY TERMINATE THE USER'S ENTRY, IF ANY, AND SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

  6. WINNERS LIST: For the names of the prize winners, available after March 15, 2008, send a letter along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to AgriSuccess Student  Contest, 1800 Hamilton Street, P.O. Box 4320 Regina, Saskatchewan, S4S 4L3

  7. LAWS: These are the official Contest Rules. This Contest is subject to the laws of Canada and any applicable laws of the province in which the contest is held.

    In Quebec, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement

  8.
