	This site provides Board members and the Public with reference materials and information pertaining to the Employment Insurance appeals system and the structure, role and responsibilities of the Employment Insurance Boards of Referees.
	The Office of the Umpire is an administrative tribunal that manages the national tribunal proceedings of the Employment Insurance Appeals Program according to Umpires' rules and procedures, the Employment Insurance Act and Regulations, court practices and procedures. It provides advice and services to Federal Court of Canada Judges and Deputy Umpires, litigants, and lawyers with the aim of ensuring the public's right to justice.
	The Canada Employment Insurance Commission (CEIC) is an entity under the umbrella of the Department of Human Resources Development (known as Human Resources and Skills Development Canada or HRSDC). Its main role is to assist HRSDC in managing the Employment Insurance Program.
	This website will enable users to access all insurance jurisprudence (i.e: CUBs (Canadian Umpire Benefits), Federal Court and Supreme Court decisions) as well as a growing number of related Provincial Court and Human Rights Tribunal decisions.
