A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 72-year-old convicted sex offender who has allegedly broken the conditions of his release.
Police are looking for Harvey James Pelland, whom they say poses a high risk to commit more sex crimes.
Pelland was convicted of possessing child pornography and served 18 months in jail before his release in August on condition he report regularly to a probation officer in Vernon, B.C., and stay away from parks, schools, playgrounds or swimming pools.
He failed to report and was arrested in White Rock coming out of a park.
Pelland was later released, arrested again and released again on Nov. 8.
Now police say he has once again failed to report in.
