Earthwatch Institute, a non-profit organization teaming citizen volunteers
with worldwide scientific research projects, awarded Dr. Kershaw with
the Scientist of the Year Award on November 3rd in Boston, Massachusetts.
Since 2001, Dr. Kershaw has been the lead researcher for the Earthwatch
program “Climate Change at Arctic’s Edge”. Throughout
the winter, summer and fall, volunteers join Dr. Kershaw at the Churchill
Northern Studies Centre to monitor potential impacts of climate change
