A pair of Rottweilers are in quarantine and their owners are facing charges after the dogs got out of a yard and attacked three people in Calgary's northeast.
The dogs, which did not have their rabies shots, will remain in quarantine for 10 days pending a dangerous animal hearing, said Bill Bruce, manager of bylaw services for the city.
The attack happened around noon Tuesday in the 3600-block of Catalina Boulevard in the northeast community of Monterey Park.
The dogs bit a woman in her 40s on the knee, while a man in his 50s suffered several puncture wounds to his legs.
A man in his 20s was treated for leg and ankle injuries after the dogs knocked him down.
Bruce said the owners have been contacted and face several charges under city bylaws.
