The most stolen car in Calgary (6:02)
December 21: The Insurance Bureau of Canada has released its top ten list of the country's most stolen vehicles. Once again, Honda Civics are the most popular car with thieves across the nation. But not in Calgary. Think soccer mom. Sergeant Tim Shannon is with the High Enforcement Auto Theft Team with the Calgary Police Service and tells us more.

Postal crunch (4:59)
December 21: The rush is on! Today is the last day to mail packages before Christmas. The Eyeopener's morning reporter, Erin Collins, joined staff at Canada Post's Calgary distribution centre to find out how they're coping with this busy time.

Late night shopping (5:09)
December 21: Stores like The Real Canadian Superstore and Zellers are offering twenty-four hour shopping to those trying to buy last minute Christmas presents. CBC television reporter, Rick Donkers, braved the late night to find out how popular this service really is.

The Twelve Days of Gadgets has been a popular feature on the Eyeopener for the past two weeks. Some of Calgary's best chefs and culinary minds have come into our studio to tell us about their favourite kitchen toys. Not only do these gadgets work marvels in the kitchen, they make great Christmas gifts! Here's the list:

FOOD BANK SUCCESS STORIES

We have surpassed our goal of $700,000 for this year's CBC PetroCanada Food Drive. And we're now ambitiously trying to get to the $1,000,000 mark!
The money that we raise goes a long way to ensure a happier new year for the clients of the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank.
As we head toward this goal, Angela is highlighting some of the stories of people who've benefited from the food bank's services.

CFS Study (5:35)

December 17: Lawyers and judges in Calgary are complaining about delays in court proceedings at the new Calgary Court Centre. The CBC's Elizabeth Snaddon joins Jennifer to tell us what's causing these delays.

Protection for Alberta's foreign workers (5:05)
December 17: Alberta has a new plan in place to help foreign workers. But one Calgary immigration lawyer says officials also need to look at a the centrepiece of the Temporary Foreign Works program; the permit system. Michael Greene says it prevents many workers from leaving unscrupulous employers.

The problem with giftcards (6:43)
December 17: It's a billion dollar business in Canada and 'tis the season -- but are you getting your money's worth when you give a giftcard? We find out about the latest pitfalls that could put a Christmas kink in your holiday gift giving.

Bar Camp comes to Calgary (3:16)
December 17: Calgary has finally proved itself "tech-worthy" enough to get a Silicon Valley-inspired tradition.
We'll find out more about Bar Camp - as this tech entrepreneur event made its debut in Calgary this weekend.

Angela Knight and her Neighborhood Watch

November 16:
Angela took her traffic report to the Hyatt. Some of the world's best bull riders came through town for The Rocky Cup Canadian National Finals at the Saddledome. And four lucky Eyeopener listeners joined Angela at the Hyatt for a "meet and eat" with the cowboys... and one very large bull!

November 14:
Angela travelled to Bridgeland and the Spruce Lodge Care Home for Alice McGowan's 100th Birthday Celebration.

Alice McGowan - 100 years young. She's sporting the new Hockey Night in Canada wears that Angela had brought for her. Alice is a big hockey fan!

October 31:
Angela stayed close to the office this Halloween. Dressed as a whoopie cushion, she was busy handing out candy to Eyeopener listeners  in the CBC parking lot! And she looked great!
