Prairie Centre (english)

Based in Winnipeg, the NFB Prairie Centre works with filmmakers across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Nunavut and Northwestern Ontario — as well as animators from the province of Alberta. Prairie Centre gives the NFB a vital presence throughout Canada's heartland region, giving us the flexibility to work with filmmakers in big cities as well as rural centres, and connect more closely with communities.

The Centre is home to a remarkable legacy of excellence and innovation. The Winnipeg-based studio has produced many of the NFB's most acclaimed and beloved films, including animated classics by Richard Condie and Cordell Barker and the acclaimed films of Norma Bailey and John Paskievich, to name but a few.

Today, we're focused on developing a new generation of Prairie film pioneers.
