Experts at the Department's Environmental Technology Centre, for example, create leading-edge technologies for measuring, preventing, controlling and remediating pollution - particularly emissions and hazardous releases.

Environment Canada also helps private-sector partners bring green technologies to the marketplace. To date it has assisted with more than 350 environmental technology advancement projects at home and abroad.

This section includes information on the development, promotion, transfer and use of environmental technologies.
