CBC Television is reaching out to new audiences. Prime-time drama and entertainment programming will increase by 100 hours a year over the next three years. High-impact documentary series will be featured on the network. Factual entertainment is scheduled in prime time. Science documentaries are featured. CBC Newsworld is looking for ground-breaking documentaries. Innovative children's and family programs are welcome.

CBC Television in Edmonton provides Alberta-based producers with access to the network and support for development of new programs via the Program Development Fund (PDF).

Edmonton Program Development staff maintain close working relationships with departments and creative heads, and can assist independent producers in the review, development and production of their projects.

We also organize industry events and arrange meetings with visiting CBC Programming executives.
