This week, hear new Alberta Christmas music on cd -- Johanna Sillanpaa's One Wish, original Christmas jazz on a Fisk-family release called Calm Abide, and Myrol's Christmas song, To Us a Child is Born.
Then, music from country singer George Canyon's first ever CBC television Christmas special, recorded in the magical setting of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, My Song is My Gift. George Canyon and his band welcome special guests from all across Canada, from a wide range of musical genres, to sing Christmas carols and original music for the season. Guests include Jully Black, Andrea Menard, Dave Gunning, Johnny Reid, and Tyler Connolly from Theory of a Dead Man.
