Associate Deputy Minister of Health
Suzanne Vinet

Suzanne VinetSuzanne Vinet was appointed Associate Deputy Minister of Health in July 2007. Prior to this appointment, Mrs. Vinet served as Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Policy at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC).

Mrs. Vinet began her public service career in 1984 with the Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food where she held increasingly senior positions with a focus on trade policy.

In December 2002, Mrs. Vinet joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as Director General, Trade Policy. In that role, she was directly involved in the various aspects of the multilateral trade policy issues as the Deputy Chief Negotiator-WTO.

Mrs. Vinet received a diploma from the Institut de Technologie agricole et alimentaire, St-Hyacinthe, Quebec (1977) and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (economics) (1984). Mrs. Vinet attended the National Defence College of Canada, Kingston, Ontario (1993-94).
