CBC McGill Concerts

The CBC/McGill Concert Series delivers some of Canada's finest musical talent to Montreal audiences. Performances take place at the Schulich School of Music (McGill University) and are recorded for broadcast across Canada on the CBC Radio2's Canada Live. Kelly Rice is the artistic director and coordinating producer of the 2007-2008 season, and also the host and coordinating producer of Quebec in Concert. He has been a producer and researcher with Quebec in Concert (formerly Music from Montreal ) since he joined the CBC in 1990. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Kelly studied at Dalhousie University in Halifax and McGill University. After undergraduate studies in Baroque music, he completed his Master's degree in Musicology at McGill with a thesis on nineteenth-century choral music in Montreal. A church musician and lecturer, he has held positions at Queen Mary Road United Church and Erskine and American United Church and he continues to lecture part-time in music history at McGill University.
