This page contains links to various statistical reports on consumer and commercial proposals and bankruptcies. Reports are listed by frequency of publication (i.e. monthly, quarterly, annually), and followed by a brief description to make them easier to find.

Monthly Statistics
This report lists the total number of consumer and commercial proposals and bankruptcies by province, urban centre, and industry (NAICS codes), and lists receiverships by province and industry.

Quarterly Bulletin on Insolvency Statistics
In addition to national, regional and industry statistics for the quarter in question, this bulletin contains data on economic conditions.

Year to Date Major Urban Centres Report
This report lists the number of consumer and commercial proposals and bankruptcies by major urban centre, and compares the figures with those of the same period in the previous year.

Annual Statistical Report
This report lists the total number of consumer and commercial proposals and bankruptcies by province, urban centre, and industry (NAICS codes), and lists receiverships by province and industry. It also provides data on files that were closed during the period in question (i.e. assets, liabilities, dividends, etc.).

Insolvency in Canada in 2006
This report, which provides an overview of insolvency in Canada, contains data on the whole country, the regions, and the main sectors of the economy. It also describes economic conditions in Canada and abroad.

Annual Bankruptcy Rates by Urban Centre and Census Subdivision
These reports list Canada's commercial bankruptcy rates from 1998 to 2005, and its consumer bankruptcy rates from 1991 to 2005.

Overview of Canadian Insolvency Statistics up to 2004
This report contains a range of data on insolvency in Canada, some dating back to 1987 (i.e. consumer demographic profiles, average yearly net incomes, debt to GDP ratio, etc.).

Customized Statistics
This system can create a range of statistical charts, compare data from different years, consult provincial data for a particular month, and display data for any given period.
