Optional Tours

These tours are offered for participating delegates and accompanying persons of the 29th International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissions.  Only the best aspects of Montreal have been incorporated to provide value for persons whose time is at a premium.

The following tours are optional and are not included in any registration fee.  All tours are based on a minimum number of participants.  It is recommended that comfortable shoes and informal dress be worn on all tours.

1. Montreal Classical City Tour

Duration:        Approximately 3.5 hours

Price:              $55.00 CDN
                         Price includes 6% Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) and
                         7.5% Quebec Sales Tax (QST)

Minimum:       30

From Ville-Marie to Montreal of tomorrow, board an air-conditioned motorcoach at Le Centre Sheraton and your escort will lead you on a discovery of the history, evolution and unique atmosphere of Montreal.  Includes stops and photograph opportunities at the Notre-Dame Basilica and the summit of Mount Royal which will provide you a spectacular view of the Montreal skyline.

2. Old-Montreal Walking Tour

Meet your guide for a unique walking tour of the second largest French speaking city in the world. Departing from Le Centre Sheraton, you will walk to and from Old Montreal, the birthplace of this metropolis. From Place d'Armes Square and the Notre-Dame Basilica to Place Jacques-Cartier, City Hall and the Bonsecours Market, you will learn more about the foundation of Montreal. Included in this walking tour is a visit at to Pointe-à-Callière Museum, a very good introduction to the city's history with its multimedia show and the remains of Ville-Marie.

Duration:        Approximately 3.5 hours

Minimum:       15 (maximum of 20 per tour)

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Notice of cancellation of a conference registration fee, social fee or tours must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.
