![]() Implementation of section 41 of the Official Languages Act
Home - Section 41 - What's new What's new2005-2006 Status ReportThe 2005-2006 Status Report is available on the Department's Internet Site dedicated to the implementation of Section 41 of the Official Languages Act. The Status Report describes the measures taken by the Department towards the development and vitality of the official language minority communities in Canada (French-Speaking communities outside Quebec and the English-speaking communities in Quebec). Section 41 of the Official Languages Act includes the commitment of the federal government to enhance the vitality of the English and French linguistic minority communities in Canada, to support and assist in their development and to foster the full recognition and use of both English and French in Canadian society. The coordination of the implementation of Section 41 at the Department of Justice is the responsibility of the Office of la Francophonie, Justice in Official Languages and Legal Dualism.
