Trailblazers
NRCan's chronicles
are filled with interesting, award-winning, internationally recognized
individuals who, in unique ways, have made NRCan
what it is today and what it will become tomorrow. The list below represents
the first in a series of Trailblazers who have contributed to the beginnings,
development or advancement of our department. Each month we will highlight
the accomplishments of one individual.
Trailblazer of the month: Dr. Roy M. (“Fritz”) Koerner
His role as an educator is one he clearly relishes, having participated in several Antarctic and Arctic trips as a lecturer on glaciers, climate change and polar pollution for various educational programs.
