Audit and Evaluation Branch
The role of the Audit and Evaluation Branch is to provide senior management with independent professional advice and assurances on the performance of the management framework, departmental programs, policies and operations. The Branch conducts audits, evaluations, special studies and concurrent reviews in areas of significance or risk, according to established government standards. Internal auditors and evaluators work in partnership with departmental managers to develop appropriate action plans to address the issues identified in audit and evaluation reports, and report on their implementation.
