Peter Melanson is Senior Vice President, Transaction Mail. Mr. Melanson joined Canada Post in February 1996 as Vice-President, Electronic Services and returned to the Corporation in 2003 in that same role after completing exceptional work as the first President & CEO of epost, where he continues to be a member of the Board of Directors. Most recently he was Vice-President, Enterprise Sales, responsible for sales to Canada Post's largest customers through its Industry Sector Sales Teams.

Prior to joining Canada Post, Mr. Melanson was Vice-President, Postal Services, SHL Systemhouse Inc. He brings with him an extensive marketing and technical skills background. He also worked for Digital Equipment Corporation from 1984 to 1994 where his last position was as global postal marketing manager.

Mr. Melanson serves on several community and volunteer organizations, most recently as the President of the Ontario Chapter of the Duke of Edinburgh Award for Young Canadians.
