The competition is now closed. Five Networks will receive funding:
Canadian Design Research Network - CDRN
Canadian Obesity Network - CON
Emerging Dynamic Global Economies - EDGE
National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly - NICE
Promoting Relationships and Eliminating Violence Network - PREVNet

Notice to university researchers and their industrial, private and not-for-profit partners (May 12, 2005)

The Networks of Centres of Excellence Program is launching a pilot project. This $1-million-per-year new initiative will support the networking activities of research groups to develop new partnerships with receptor communities. The funding is not intended to support research as it is expected that the teams will already have existing research funding. It is not intended for existing networks or networks completing the end of their NCE funding.

NCE-NI 2005 competition Budget:
The NCE Steering Committee might increase the budget devoted to the NCE New Initiative if the number of high quality proposals warrants it.

For additional information, please communicate with the Program Administrator, Pierre-François Le Fol, by email, pierre-francois.lefol@nce.gc.ca, or telephone, 613-996 9825.

Please read the instructions for this new initiative before applying:
