DISTRICT three Food Banks need help to feed 1500 families this holiday season
Some of us are trying to eat better. Some of us are just trying to eat.
Christmas should be a special celebration for everyone, but not everyone can afford to feed his or her family. If you can help, there's never been a better time of year to give.
District Three Food Banks along with our community partners CBC Radio One 99.5 FM, Jacques Whitford and Scotiabank have joined together again this year for the "Feed a Family" campaign that is raising the money needed to help feed 1500 families this holiday season.
It costs an average of $40 to feed a family a traditional Christmas dinner. There are 1500 families in need from Woodstock to Doaktown, McAdam to Chipman and all areas in between.
CBC Radio's Information Morning show (99.5 FM on CBC Radio One) will launch the "Feed a Family" campaign on December 3 running through to December 21, asking their listeners to help raise money for the District Three Food Banks.
Donating to the "Feed a Family" campaign is easy and convenient. Donations in any amount are being accepted at CBC Radio studios on Regent Street between 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Make cheques payable to Feed a Family Campaign.
Or you can give by calling 1-888-861-8880 where credit card donations are accepted; or by stopping in to Scotiabanks in Minto, Oromocto, Nackawic, McAdam, Woodstock, Doaktown, and four Scotiabank locations in Fredericton - Regent Street, Kings Place Mall, Nashwaaksis and Smythe Street.
District Three Food Banks greatly appreciate donations in any denomination. Please help us feed our families this holiday season.
