The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

4.

The Commission notes that the above-noted transmitters are currently operated by the CBC as radiocommunication distribution undertakings (RDUs), which rebroadcast the programming of CFCL-TV Timmins. In CBLT Toronto – new transmitters, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-303, 10 October 2002, the Commission approved the application by the CBC to acquire CFCL-TV Timmins from CTV Television Inc. and the addition of the station to CBLT’s licence.

5.

The CBC noted that it is therefore no longer necessary to hold separate RDU licences for the above-mentioned transmitters, and has asked that the licences be revoked.

6.

Accordingly, the Commission, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24 (2) of the Broadcasting Act, revokes the broadcasting licences issued to the CBC with respect to the above-noted RDUs.
