The Commission did not receive any
interventions in connection with this application. |
4. |
The Commission notes that the
above-noted transmitters are currently operated by the CBC as
radiocommunication distribution undertakings (RDUs), which rebroadcast the
programming of CFCL-TV Timmins. In CBLT Toronto – new transmitters,
Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-303,
10 October 2002, the Commission approved the application by the CBC to
acquire CFCL-TV Timmins from CTV Television Inc. and the addition of the
station to CBLT’s licence. |
5. |
The CBC noted that it is therefore
no longer necessary to hold separate RDU licences for the above-mentioned
transmitters, and has asked that the licences be revoked. |
6. |
Accordingly, the Commission,
pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24 (2) of the Broadcasting Act,
revokes the broadcasting licences issued to the CBC with respect to the
above-noted RDUs. |
