August 2005, the President of the Public Service Human Resources Management
Agency of Canada and the President of the Public Service Commission of Canada
announced the updated and simplified Key Leadership Competencies Profile that
reflects the leadership skills, abilities, and characteristics that are needed
in the Public Service to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.
The
Profile establishes Values and Ethics as the foundation of leadership and is
linked to management accountability.
