CBC Saskatchewan is committed to playing Saskatchewan music on the radio. Much of that music come from you - singers, songwriters, and bands who take the time to send us your work.
If you would like your music to be considered for airplay, drop off a CD - or send it to us by mail. And if you want to hear some new Saskatchewan music, check out CBC Radio 1 in Saskatchewan, 540 am, 102.5 fm in Regina.
The fact is, there are a lot of talented people out there who aren't getting much airplay. We'd like to change that. So if you're from Saskatchewan and you play music, send it to us. We want it all.

How can I submit my music?
Click Here to download the Application Form.Complete
the Application Form in full, and submit
it with all the required attachments. Your submission
will be evaluated, and added to our catalogue.
It may take 4-6 weeks for us to process your submission.
Please be patient with us!
What's the deadline?
There's no deadline - this is an ongoing call
for music. However, the sooner you submit your
music, the sooner we can use it.
What is CBC looking for?
Everything. Whether you're a solo folk artist,
a DJ merging Aboriginal melodies with a backbeat,
or part of a classical ensemble, CBC Radio wants
you to send us your tracks. Could be a full CD;
could be one song. Send us what you have.
What will you do with my music?
Your submission will be catalogued, and then we will give it a listen. We'll decide where your music might fit, and forward
it to the appropriate show producer.
You
might be interviewed on one of our shows, and
asked to play a song or two for our listeners.
What shows might play my music?
Your music may be featured on our local shows:
- The Morning Edition
- our morning show, which airs from 6
- 8:37 a.m.
- The Noon Edition
- our weekday lunchtime show from noon
- 2 p.m.
- The Afternoon Edition - our daily drive-home show,
from 4 - 6 p.m.
- Saskatchewan Weekend - Saturdays and Sundays,
from 6 - 9 a.m.
- Gallery - Saturdays at 5 - 6 p.m. and Sundays 12 - 1 p.m.
Do you have any quality concerns?
We don't expect everybody to send us a studio-quality
demo. If you have one, that's great. If you don't,
don't worry - send us what you have. We're looking for submissions on CD only (We do not accept DAT, Cassette, or other formats).
What about rights?
If you're recording a song and distributing it
to broadcasters like us, you're assuming all responsibility
for having acquiring rights to the song and all
liability for not having secured those rights.
What about SOCAN?
Every artist whose work is played on CBC Radio
receives royalties through SOCAN -
if they've registered with SOCAN .
The same goes for every other radio station. If
you haven't registered with SOCAN ,
perhaps you should click on one of these SOCAN links and find out how you can, so you can get
what's coming to you.
