Notice of Public Hearing

The Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commission or CRTC, the public authority regulating and supervising the Canadian broadcasting system, will hold a public hearing commencing on 10 December 2007 at the Delta Hotel London Armouries, 325 Dundas Street in London Ontario. The agenda includes an application by CBC Radio to install a new nested FM transmitter in downtown Windsor to rebroadcast the 1550 CBE signal. The new FM transmitter would operate on frequency 102.3 mhz with an average effective radiated power of 690 watts.

If you wish to obtain information about this application, a copy is available for examination by the public during normal office hours at the reception, CBC Radio Canada, 825 Riverside Drive West in Windsor.

You can also go to the "public proceeding" section of the CRTC's web site (www.crtc.gc.ca External Site) or contact the CRTC in writing at CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N2.

Members of the public can make their views known to the crtc regarding this application by following this procedure:

Your written comments must be received by the CRTC on or before November 15, 2007. a copy of your comments must also be received by the applicant before that date.

Please note that all information that you submit as part of a public process, including your e-mail address, name and any other personal information you provide becomes part of the public record and can be viewed on the commission's web site exactly as they receive them.
