CBC/Radio-Canada Mobile Division Introduces
the Newest Addition to its Fleet
The CBC/Radio-Canada Mobile Division, Canada’s largest
mobile television service provider, has become even larger. Just
in time for the Stanley Cup Play-offs, the Mobile Division launched
its second High Definition (HD) mobile, the Encore.
Over the past few months, CBC/Radio-Canada engineers in Brampton,
Ontario have been hard at work installing the electronic components
and the state of the art production equipment of the 53-foot
HD trailer. As the newest addition to the 12 caravan fleet, the
Encore will enable the Mobile Division to continue providing
service to both internal and external clients at a wide-range
of events, including sports, arts & entertainment, news and
special programming throughout Canada and the United States.
We also recently posted all the details about eight mobile audio
trucks on our website—these allow for stereo and 5.1 surround
recording. This latest addition will help make remote audio production
more accessible to our clientele.
