What qualifier has not been used to describe Canada’s natural wonders? Studying Canada’s geography is like speaking in superlatives. Canada is almost 10 million square kilometres of immense forests, breathtaking coastlines, spectacular mountain ranges, huge expanses, stunning freshwater lakes and rivers, and amazing wildlife.

Canadians have traditionally been close to nature – and this tradition is part of our fabric. Indeed, in Canada, the line is fine between nature and culture - this is who we are.

Canadians take environmental issues seriously and have always been mindful of their duty to preserve their natural treasure for future generations. Canada’s national parks are hugely popular – they receive more than 20 million visitors per year, and ecotourism is flourishing in all provinces and territories of Canada.

Canadians like to talk about the weather. That’s because Canadian weather is changing constantly and can vary greatly – from lower than -30°C in winter to more than +30°C in the summer. Weather has an impact on the daily lives of all Canadians, whether at leisure or at work. Little wonder that conversations often begin with “How’s the weather?”

Canadians are blessed with a lifestyle that is second to none. Nature has a lot to do with that.
