Partners PartnersAlthough the challenge of reducing paperwork burden is one for government to address, incorporating the business perspective with the government perspective is critical. Such integration broadens understanding of the issue from both a government prescriptive and a client-centred position. The Paperwork Burden Reduction Initiative (PBRI) integrates the perspectives of both the public and private sectors through various mechanisms, including the Advisory Committee on Paperwork Burden Reduction (ACPBR). In addressing this challenge, it is also vital that the PBRI involve co-operation across government and among different levels of government. The PBRI Secretariat works closely with a variety of federal and provincial departments and agencies through its Interdepartmental Working Group of Directors General and the ACPBR.
