The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and the British Columbia (B.C.) Ministry of Small Business and Revenue have teamed up to offer seminars on goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) and B.C. provincial sales tax (PST).

CRA seminars - GST/HST topics:

• how goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) works
• who has to register
• your obligations and entitlements
• books and records
• how to complete your GST/HST return
• where to get help

British Columbia's Ministry of Small Business and Revenue - PST topics:

• what is provincial sales tax (PST)
• what PST exemptions are available
• who needs to register and collect PST
• procedures for remitting PST
• common vendor mistakes regarding PST
• audit procedures
• Taxpayer Fairness and Service Code
• where to get information or help

Cost:

All of the above seminars are free.
