Payroll information for new employers

Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will review payroll requirements for deducting, remitting, and reporting amounts for the Canada Pension Plan, Employment Insurance, and income tax.

Service Canada (formerly known as HRSDC or Human Resource Skills Development Canada) will provide general information on the Employment Insurance Program, Record of Employment via the Internet, Service Canada and other government electronic services.

The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) will provide help for Ontario businesses who want to reduce premiums and claims costs. Participants will also learn about prevention, employer obligations, incentive programs, clearance certificates and independent operators. Learn what to do in case of injury and how to get your employee back to work.
