Change of Box Office opening date for 2005 NAC Fall Fundraising Gala

Ottawa, Canada -- The Box Office opening date has changed for the NAC’s annual Fall Fundraising Gala on Saturday, October 1, 2005. This year’s Gala features legendary soprano Jessye Norman with Pinchas Zukerman and the National Arts Centre Orchestra. Canadian contralto Susan Platts, Jessye Norman’s protégée, will also appear.
Tickets will now go on sale on Monday, March 7 to members of the NAC Donors Circle and to subscribers to the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s 2005-2006 season, which goes on sale on February 28. Orders can be made only with a valid order form which will be accepted online, by mail, by fax, or dropped off in person in the NAC Box Office. This priority period lasts until April 15. The Box Office opens to the general public on May 9.
Tickets priced at $65, $110 and $135 include a pre-concert reception in the Foyer for all patrons at 18:00, followed by the concert at 19:00. Those who purchase Encore Seating for $750, or $7,500 for a table of ten, and Impresario Boxes of ten for $10,000 will also attend a post-concert dinner and dancing on the Southam Hall stage.
