Applying to the RCMP

The RCMP is looking for people who have integrity, are honest, professional, compassionate, respectful and accountable.

Our selection process consists of a comprehensive series of tests and interviews that will help us — and you — determine whether you are suited for a career in policing with the RCMP.

Training and postings

If you are successful in the selection process, you will attend the Cadet Training Program in Regina, Saskatchewan for 24 weeks of rigorous training. This will give you the solid foundation you’ll need to thrive in your new career.

After graduation, you will normally be hired as a regular member and assigned to your first posting, where you will be coached and mentored by experienced police officers as part of our Field Coaching Program.
