On September 19-20, 2003, a group of specialists in ICTs, gender, economic development and poverty reduction joined in a workshop on ICTs and poverty reduction. The meeting was organized jointly by IDRC's Micro Impacts of Macroeconomic and Adjustment Policies (MIMAP) initiative, and the ICT for Development program area. A background paper by Randy Spence explores ICT-poverty interrelationships and surveys a wide range of country and sector/issue experiences.
