Media Advisory : Working together to address the issue of missing children in Canada

Ottawa, Ontario – September 14, 2007 – The RCMP’s National Missing Children Services (NMCS) will host its annual conference in Ottawa from September 18-20, 2007.

The conference gives law enforcement officers, Government departments, non government agencies and advocacy groups the opportunity to share intelligence and best practices about missing children cases.

A total of 90 conference participants are expected to attend sessions on topics ranging from the national perspective of missing children in Canada, to human trafficking, and the latest findings on parental abductions.

Media are invited to part of the opening ceremonies on September 18 with the opportunity to conduct one on one interviews with specified spokespeople immediately following.
