Health Canada Science & Technology Inventory

Health Canada directly hires people specialized in pure and applied as well as health sciences in various areas; see the shortage groups in Health Canada for more information.

Health Canada maintains an inventory of qualified applicants. If you have a Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate or Postdoctoral educationin one of the disciplines listed in our shortage list, please send your resume to STI-IST@hc-sc.gc.ca.

We encourage members of the following employment equity groups to apply and to self-identify : women, members of a visible minority group, Aboriginal peoples and persons with a disability. During the month of October, the Public Service Commission has opened a Federal Science & Technology Recruitment Inventory for those whose careers are developing in the fields of biology, chemistry and physical sciences, and is now closed. Health Canada's managers are now in process of accessing this inventory.

Post-Secondary Recruitment

The Post-Secondary Recruitment (PSR) program is a national initiative aimed at recruiting recent post-secondary graduates to fill entry-level positions in the Federal Public Service.

Health Canada regularly participates to this initiative to staff entry level scientific positions as well as non-scientific within the department.
