Executive Management Policy Branch

The Executive Management Policies Directorate maintains and develops policies and programs to support the human resources management of the Executive Group. The Directorate is also the Secretariat for the Advisory Committee on Senior Level Retention and Compensation. This independent committee is made up of leaders in the broader public and private sectors of Canada and provides advice to the government on the human resources management of senior level employees.

Directorate analysts provide policy interpretation and advisory services to public service departments and agencies. Our policy includes salary and non-salary elements as well as classification, performance management and career transition directives. As well, directorate analysts provide several operational services including executive classification monitoring, executive compensation analysis and monitoring, and classification of EX04 and EX05 positions.
