Industrial and Regional Benefits (IRB) Directorate

The Industrial and Regional Benefits Directorate operates within the Aerospace, Defence and Marine Branch of the Industry Sector. There is a Director, who oversees an experienced team of IRB Managers, sector development officers and administrative support staff. Staff List

Industrial and Regional Benefits (IRBs)

The Directorate is responsible for the design and implementation of the IRB Policy. IRB officials administer existing IRB commitments and negotiate new ones, with a view to encouraging industrial activity and fostering business relationships that will continue long after an IRB commitment is over. The Directorate also ensures that Canadian IRB guidelines and practices are up to date, in light of domestic and international developments and the changing procurement environment.
