Welcome to the Ontario and Nunavut Region of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC Ontario and Nunavut).

At PHAC Ontario and Nunavut, we focus on programs and initiatives that promote the overall goal of enabling the people of Ontario to take action on their health and the factors that influence it. Main areas of action include:

• positively shaping the childhood experience so it promotes optimal development;
• ensuring capacity to address chronic or infectious diseases; and
• enhancing the knowledge base concerning the social determinants of health.
