Our journey to success

The realization of our Government On-Line goals at the Competition Bureau has provided Canadians with improved access to our services. What started out as an information providing service by posting relevant information on our website has been transformed into a service that allows Canadians to access information as well as conduct transactions with the Bureau. Specific examples include:

  • the ability to apply, pay for, and receive a CA number under the Textile Labelling Act;

  • the ability to request a service or make a complaint through a web form;

  • the ability to access detailed information on hot topics in competition enforcement;

  • the ability to provide merger notifications online; and

  • a transformed evidence and information handling system to allow for the presentation of evidence in an electronic form before the courts.
