North West Centre (english)

From its base in Edmonton, NFB's North West Centre works with filmmakers across Alberta and the Northwest Territories. It's a vast region and an even bigger responsibility but the Centre has proven it's up to the challenge, producing a string of acclaimed films.
 
The Centre has long been the NFB's most vigorous champion of Aboriginal filmmaking, producing landmark works by many of Canada's most distinguished First Nations, Métis and Inuit artists.
 
North West Centre producers collaborate with independent filmmakers from across the region to create truly distinctive documentaries — works that express the many viewpoints of Canada's West and North, while capturing the hearts of audiences across the country and around the world.
