You can't go to school to become a financial-sector regulator -- that's why we've developed a career management program at OSFI.

The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) is responsible for regulating and supervising all federally chartered, licensed or registered banks, insurance, trust and loan companies, cooperative credit associations and fraternal benefit societies. OSFI also monitors federally regulated pension plans and provides actuarial advice to the Government of Canada. With offices in Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, OSFI's prime responsibility is to safeguard policyholders, depositors and pension plan members from undue losses. We work with financial institutions in Canada to balance risk management and innovation within a competitive industry.
