Each year PWGSC buys about $20 billion in goods and services on behalf of government departments and agencies — everything from vehicles to staplers to military uniforms.

The Government of Canada is committed to providing Canadians with fiscal prudence and better stewardship of their tax money. It will generate significant savings by changing how the government buys goods and services. PWGSC is also taking steps to ensure all suppliers, regardless of size or location, have fair and open access to government procurement opportunities.
