OTTAWA -- Canadian athletes and high school students will join the Honourable Jean Augustine, Secretary of State (Multiculturalism) (Status of Women) for the kick-off of Women's History Month at Saunders Secondary School in London, Ontario. Focusing on this year's theme, Women and Sports - Champions Forever!, the open forum will also feature noted female athletes such as Tara Hedican, 2001 Junior World wrestling champion, Sami Jo Small, goalie of Canada's 2002 Olympic gold medal-winning hockey team, and Janice Forsyth, 3-time gold medallist at the 2002 North American Indigenous Games.

Simultaneously, the Honourable Paul DeVillers, Secretary of State (Amateur Sport) will host a similar event in Montréal, Quebec.
