NewsroomNews ReleasesNovember 25, 2005 EXPERT PANEL ON ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISMS FOR GENDER EQUALITY DELIVERS PROGRESS REPORTOTTAWA - The Honourable Liza Frulla, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Minister responsible for Status of Women, today received a progress report from the Expert Panel on Accountability Mechanisms for Gender Equality. The Panel, comprising Georgina Steinsky-Schwartz, Louise Langevin and Dorienne Rowan-Campbell, was appointed in response to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Status of Women's April 2005 report, Gender-Based Analysis: Building Blocks for Success. "The Government's commitment to gender equality is unwavering," said Minister Frulla. "I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance accountability and meaningful gender equality results." The Minister thanked the Panel for their work thus far and said the final report will be posted on Status of Women Canada's Web site as soon as it becomes available.
