eDISCUSSION QUESTIONS
  1. Do Canadians, Mexicans and Americans have common interests and shared values? If so, in what areas?

  2. What challenges do you believe governments and citizens in the three countries of North America will face in the next ten years?

  3. Given the growth of regional cooperation in other parts of the world,  what can we learn from the experiences of Asia, Europe, Australia/New Zealand or South America?

  4. How can citizens of the three countries contribute to building more understanding of, and appreciation for, our shared challenges and opportunities?

  5. How can Canada, in cooperation with partners in Mexico and the U.S. help ensure the competitiveness, security and the quality of life of its citizens in our three countries?

eDISCUSSION RESOURCES

  Backgrounder

Canada, the United States and Mexico have long worked together as continental neighbours, sharing a common geography and environment. Similar beliefs in pluralism, political liberties and the rule of law, vast trade links and joint efforts on security have been the foundation of a healthy, constructive and vibrant relationship. With increased connections growing richer and more diverse, the North American relationship is increasingly viewed in a continental, hemispheric and global context.  LEARN MORE
