FQCN20 CYQX 230622 Marine synopsis for Newfoundland issued by Environment Canada at 3.00 AM NST Friday 23 November 2007. The next scheduled synopsis will be issued at 10.00 AM. A developing low pressure system over the Maritimes at forecast issue time will move into southeastern Labrador late in the day. Over western waters strong to gale force southeasterlies ahead of the low will shift to strong southwesterlies late in the day. Elsewhere moderate to strong southeasterlies are forecast to develop. On Saturday the low will track slowly into the Belle Isle Bank. The trough associated with the low will move across the district throughout the day. Moderate to strong southerlies ahead of the trough will shift to strong to near gale force west to northwesterlies in its wake. Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for Gulf-Port au Port. END/NLWO
