The transitions people make between stages of their lives, such as from high school to post-secondary education, from school to work, and into self-employment, cohabitation, home ownership, household formation and fertility, retirement, retirement age and post-retirement activities, and widowhood. Also includes women’s transitions from home to the labour market, and back.
