  • Passports that have been expired for over a year and passports (valid or expired, along with a copy of the death certificate) of deceased persons can be mailed to the Passport Canada office in Gatineau, Quebec, for disposal.
  • As of January 23, 2007, all travellers, including Canadians and Americans, need to carry a valid passport or other appropriate secure document when travelling to the United States by air.
