Forests in Canada

In Canada, forests occupy 45% of the territory, representing 417.6 million hectares of the total Canadian continental area of 921.5 million hectares. Forests stretch from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts, and to the north up to the Arctic treeline limit. They are highly diversified and their characteristics vary according to the area where they are established.
